Here at Hope, we believe that 鈥渨hat comes out of the mouth proceeds from the heart鈥� 鈥� (Matthew 15:18). The college is 鈥渃ommitted to freedom of inquiry in the pursuit of truth and knowledge in every field of study, confident that all truth is God鈥檚 truth.鈥�  With that said, claims and counterclaims should be motivated by pursuing and interrogating truth鈥攏ot to degrade another person or group of people created and loved by God.

The Pre-College Conference is a significant event for our community. Full-time faculty are expected to participate, and we extend a warm invitation to emeritus, adjunct faculty and staff to join us as their schedules allow. Your participation is not just welcomed, but valued. 

RSVP is required for the all-employee lunch, Thursday afternoon breakout session and (for faculty) Sunday鈥檚 Opening Convocation.

Communion Service & pRESIDENT'S aDDRESS

All are welcome to join us for a communion service at 8:15 a.m. in Dimnent Chapel. This will be followed by fellowship and refreshments at the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. At 9:45 a.m. we will convene in the Concert Hall for the President鈥檚 address.

9 a.m. 鈥� PRovost's address and FACULTY business meeting 

On Friday morning at 9 a.m., all faculty and college teaching staff are invited to the Provost鈥檚 address and faculty business meeting located in the Jack H. Miller Center for Musical Arts. Per the Faculty Handbook, attendance at faculty meetings is expected of all those holding voting privileges (II. Section C6).

12鈥�4 p.m. 鈥� Belonging Together Open House

Stop by the Kruizenga Art Museum for the Belonging Together Open House sponsored by Culture Action Team (CAT). All faculty and staff are welcome! The event will run open-house style with refreshments available throughout the day. There will be brief presentations highlighting members of our Hope community at 12, 12:30 and 2:30 p.m.

We鈥檙e continuing our work of updating all faculty and staff photos. These photos appear on the campus website and will remain on file for publicity needs. If you don鈥檛 have a current photo, please join us to have your photo taken!

• Very pale colors tend to wash out on the soft gray background. You may wish to wear a little color to look your very best!
• Those with transitions-type lenses in their glasses may need to allow an extra few minutes for their lenses to return to their non-darkened state.
